First full day in our Gone Coastal cottage at the Sirens Beach Motel.
We venture out to the closest larger town of Souris ( French for mouse ) named for the thousands of mice that would climb down the anchor ropes of the sea going vessels while they were in port and spread out across the town.
While there, we took in a relaxing walk along the coastal boardwalk, that provided places to rest and interesting geographic, wildlife and historic facts of the area.
After the walk we toured the oldest ( and last ) original lighthouse on PEI.
We finish off the day with some local produce for our dinner in the form of a delicious omlette!
