9/13/23 - Homeward Bound - Charlottetown

With reports of Hurricaine Lee moving northward and then slamming into the Maritime provinces, we make the decision to leave PEI, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick early and make our way back to Cobourg before any destructive weather leaves us stranded in the path of the storm.

We start our journey back at 6:30 on Wednesday morning and stop in Charlottetown at a Receiver Coffee location at the waterfront. We enjoy delicious Cortados and breakfast and take some pics of two cruise shops docked there for the day. One is the Holland America Zuiderdam!

We land in Edmunston New Brunswick and our accommodation for the night, the same Best Western we stayed in on our way to the East coast.

Receiver coffee cafe situated in the former Brass building in the Charlottetown wharf complex.
This is the building where all the brass fittings for the rail cars were formed and polished since the late 19th century.

Former railway building now used as a farmers and artisan market

Hup Holland Hup!

Not actual size of a lobster claw!
